The Educator Sanctuary

Writing, Reflection, and Equity in Practice

A five-day sanctuary for educators to write, reflect, and renew by the sea.

- Guided by Rose Marie Wallace and Ali Michael

Our First Ever Writers' Residency for Educators

This summer, the Educator's Sanctuary will host our first ever Writers' Residency for Educators at the beautiful seaside campus of Tabor Academy in Massachusetts. The Residency is one week-long (Sunday through Friday) and can accommodate up to 25 Writer-Educators.

As educators, we have expertise that often gets buried in the day-to-day work of the school year. We are scientists, poets, essayists, psychologists, novelists. We write about pedagogy, our doctoral and masters research, history, and literature. We write op-eds, scientific papers, research studies, books, poems. But sometimes we don't write, because we don't have the space and time we need.
